CK CALVIN KLEIN

FOR RAF SIMONS.

2017-2019
During Raf’s tenure at CK, I worked closely with Pieter Mulier, to create a synergy in CK CALVIN KLEIN product, to sibling the main 205 W39TH NYC collection. During this time the construct of the CK brand aesthetic was widely expanded, allowing for a super creative outlook on the re-imagining of the brand, under Raf’s vision as CCO.

CK COLLECTION

FOR FRANCISCO COSTA.

I was recruited from the UK, to join the CK Collection team in NY, while Calvin Klein himself was still at the helm. After only a few short months, Calvin Klein sold the company and the creative mantle passed to Francisco Costa. As Senior Knitwear designer I was responsible for co-creating all knit and sweater concepts, swatches and garments, alongside the creative director and woven designers, for both seasonal catwalk shows and interim pre-collections.

DONNA KARAN

COLLECTION.

1999
During my internship at Donna Karan, my ornate knitwear featured prominently in the Fall 2000 show and advertising campaigns. The team had introduced an innovative yarn spun with sequins but had been unable to knit it into a viable fabric. Drawing on my technical knitting knowledge, I adapted a domestic knitting machine by removing selected components, allowing the yarn to be knitted into a fabric that could be draped into garments. Dress shown here on Milla Jovovich.

VYAYAMA

BY ALEXANDRA GLIBBERY

‘Active wear for a Calm Conscience’
VYAYAMA the sanskrit word ‘to move’, represents a fully sustainable selection of activewear, made from only plant-based cellulose fabrics. I created VYAYMA from the desire to provide an option to petroleum, poly and nylon based workout clothes, that would not pollute the planet with micro-plastics. I led the initial brand concept and oversaw art direction, photo shoots, brand aesthetic, fabric and production sourcing, design, fitting, social media planning, website design and ongoing brand communication. Sold globally in Selfridges, Equinox, Holt Renfrew, and Barneys.
